Automating your company, part 8

Video editing for a YouTube channel

Hint: watch the videos at 2x speed

The raw video

Editing videos can be automated with several strategies. The most basic one: write a journal that describes the differences between your raw and your edited videos, the subtitles, the overlays, the style. From then on, anything that drops into the folder is edited and published straight away. You can put a blocker before publishing so you validate first.

In the demo, one note asks the Orchestrator to fetch the video from the shared folder, transcribe the narration, burn in synced subtitles, add a few small animated overlays, show the result, and only after approval upload it to the channel as unlisted. There are many ways to do this. This is one.
